My latest body of work is inspired by distance and proximity in relationships.

 

As humans, we long for closeness, intimacy and understanding, but there is always a gap to bridge in order to obtain that. At the same time as individuals we need the distance, and both needs are rarely the same in the person next to us. All relationships take place in the tension between these two opposites, which results in countless wonderful, tragic and touching constellations.

 

Every painting tells a story about them, and the viewer’s experience will always have an impact on how he reads this story.
